Salida Community Profile - PMZ Real Estate

About Salida

Salida continues the agricultural traditions of the Central Valley. Most notably, Salida features a major Blue Diamond almond processing facility. Salida means "exit" in Spanish and was named after a railroad station of the same name that was built in town by the Central Pacific Railroad in 1870.

Salida, with a population of almost 14,000, has an annual Town and Country Parade and Festival that offers food, craft and information booths, kids activities and live entertainment. The parade Features local school bands, clubs, farm equipment and of course the silly clowns in their small cars. It’s a great event for Salida and an even better way for the community to come out and have fun!
